About Jordan Radway

Jordan Alexander Radway was born and raised in Montgomery

Country, MD. He filled every moment of his life spreading joy,

laughter, and compassion to everyone he knew. Tragically, his

life was taken by gun violence.

Jordan’s Way will support the youth in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area by nurturing their dreams, providing support, and teaching self-love.

Jordan received several athletic as well as academic awards during his senior year at Paint Branch High School, including but not limited to, the Scholar Athlete Award for achieving a 3.25 or better Grade Point Average while participating in Interscholastic Athletics; Varsity Letter in Boys Basketball; and the Versatility Achievement Award of Excellence from the Montgomery County Maryland Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Upon graduating from Paint Branch High School, Jordan furthered his education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC, an Honors University in Maryland). While earning his degree, he interned with the school’s Athletic Communications Department. Additionally, Jordan was initiated into the Theta Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and appropriately earned the line name, “Producer”. He served as Gatekeeper for the chapter. In May of 2018, Jordan graduated from UMBC with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and Media Studies, with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Jordan understood the importance of giving back and participated in many community service projects including shoe drives for underprivileged students and feeding the homeless. In 2008, the summer before he started 8th grade, and three years after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the city of New Orleans, Jordan went on a mission trip with the Disciples of Christ Church to help build and restore homes and community centers in the lower Ninth Ward.

Jordan was charismatic, energetic and a natural born leader. He had an engaging spirit that inspired, positively influenced, and motivated others. He would light up any room with his effervescent personality and sense of style. He was the life of the party and the glue that held together many friendships. Plain and simple, Jordan was a rare gift from God.
